Dark Days is a series focusing on the night, it focuses on places and locations of nostalgia, whether represented by my own neighborhood and previous home, or via barns, street lights, and representations of areas that are typical and nostalgic of many people's neighborhoods. This series focuses on the dichotomy between dark and light, and these moments of inviting, warm light in a cold and somewhat foreign landscape that night has a tendency to create. My influences for this series were Brassai and Edward Hopper. It is an ongoing series, like many of my series, but it is currently on pause until a new body of work begins to inform it.
