This series represents my Portrait Painting class that I took for one of my final semesters at CPCC, and marks some of the largest, significant growth in my practice since Figure Drawing. This class was such a huge barrier and I grew so much in this class that I have to immortalize it on my page as one of my series, because it is THE point at which I really felt everything was starting to click into place within my practice. Ironically, portraits aren't a huge factor in my normal artwork, usually relying on figures and abstraction. But this class and its teacher had such a wonderful impact on me regardless.
