Here at Humble Bundle you can get the COVID 19 Bundle
100% of this bundle goes to charity, please consider donating, the charities being funded include Doctors without Borders, and many others. For $30 you're getting 100% of your money going to charity, and you'll receive just under 50 Steam games, including games like Undertale, Killing Floor 2, etc. This will crucially help those operating to mitigate the damages of Covid, AND it will give each of you a host of games to keep yourselves occupied over the duration of the quarantine! Please continue to stay safe! I'll have a more relevant blog post soon, but I felt this was the most useful thing I could post about currently, for you guys.

Everybody check out my Pinterest I am currently working on pinning more, including Original Artwork, Inspirations, Featured Artists, and Art Activities for Kids and Adults alike, my goal is to consolidate some form of entertainment on my Pinterest to help lessen the impact of COVID quarantine on everyone's mental health. Please click through and check it out!
Goals: Daily Featured Artist on Instagram and Facebook New Artwork or an Older work reposted on Pinterest everyday WIPs, new Art and Older Art posted on Instagram and Facebook as well Updating and adding new pieces to my Website here Finalizing designs for Displate Providing a series of Pins and Art related Daily Activities to do on Pinterest! Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day, and, while COVID 19 is causing havoc, that doesn't mean we shouldn't have some fun.
So as of today, most of the green items in my shop are 30% off. You can find my Etsy here Pictured below are Clover, a three color series set created last year to celebrate St. Patrick's Day! They are also now available on Displate, hopefully by tomorrow! You can use code CLOVER on Displate to get 20% off of 1 Poster, or 30% off of 2! I will continue adding more pieces to Displate, as it seems to be a reliable source of purchases by comparison so far. (Sorry Etsy, I'm invisible on you so you can't really compete.) So, this week, my classes are officially suspended until March 23rd. NC declared a state of emergency, and shortly after, all UNC related schools are suspending classes after Friday. Many of my classes will resume after this time in an online format, as will any of my studio classes which can convert in time. I think this is a smart decision to prevent things from getting out of hand too quickly, and to completely stop the virus in its tracks, however, I think it disrupts a lot of people's lives and routines and I am hopeful that everybody remembers those with compromised immune systems are in danger as long as this remains a threat. Please be mindful of everybody to which this virus is potentially fatal.
This whole event super unfortunate on the one hand, as it means many of the exhibitions I have planned are going to be pushed back and/or possibly cancelled. It also means some of my markets might get cancelled. I will continue to update the site as information becomes available, and I will try to keep you guys updated. The good news is this means I now have a large chunk of time to devote to the process of fully updated and renovating the site, creating individual art pages, expanding what is already on the site, and curating the site more. I'm excited for the opportunity to devote time here, and on Etsy. This should mean a lot of progress on the site, as I add in more functionality. Right now I have a few goals: Individual Pages for Art: I want to create individual pages for art which showcase the artwork, related images, and relevant show information and links to things such as Work in progress, blog posts, and other stuff. This will hopefully give people a lot more to look at and experience, and while I can't create an experience as impactful as one in person, I can at least provide context, inspiration, and tidbits of visual interest to compliment the work. Here is an example of what I am going to be doing for each individual image on the site. Blog and Site Organization: I am currently working on creating much more concise, and better ways of tagging work, and allowing people to search through my work in a way that they like. In order to do this, I will be dividing work into things like Mediums, Series, and Genre/Styles, which will all be accessible through the menu at the top of each page. Ideally, this will allow a bit better control over what each person wants to see who comes to my site. This is due largely to the fact that I create such a broad spectrum of work, across many mediums. Overall, my goals focus on accessibility, and user experience. As such, please feel free to critique any changes, or if you'd like to see specific changes, please do not hesitate to message me. As an artist, I want to be able to present my work in a way that makes it as accessible to my audience as possible. Edit: Added in hyperlinking to individual pages for each of the pieces, these individual pages will be added for all work on the site over the next week or two, enjoy!
Hey guys, I'm also part of another show coming up in Charlotte, NC in the Novant Health center being built near Park Road. These are a few pieces that are part of a much older abstraction series made in 2016 as part of one of my Studio classes. They deal largely with experimentation, environment, and the use of repeated forms. It also deals with the use of unique materials, such as saran wrap and liquid starch, as printing mediums. From left to right, they are titled Eclipse, Night Structure, and Coffee & Cola. You can check them out in Charlotte for a limited time. Eclipse and Coffee & Cola are also now in thicker, sturdier frames similar to the one that Night Structure is in. This was due to the fact that they needed to be wired, and would be hung for a longer period of time than other shows. One thing in particular I miss from this series, and hope to find appropriate work to bring it back into my process is the use of white frames with black mats, I really like the aesthetic. I've got a couple more shows and markets coming up, so my posts for a while will largely be focused on keeping people update on these shows and getting back into the groove of posting regularly. |
